Heike Birlenbach
Swiss chief commercial officer Heike Birlenbach will leave the carrier at the end of September 2026, Lufthansa Group, the airline's parent company, announced Wednesday. She has been in her current role since January 2024 and with the Lufthansa Group for 36 years, according to the company.
Upon Birlenbach's departure, the chief commercial officer role no longer will continue, a move that is part of the "continued development of leadership structures within the Lufthansa Group," according to the company. Swiss CEO Jens Fehlinger will oversee those remits relating to customer experience, while the finance division will take on Swiss WorldCargo.
