Senthil Padmanabhan
Lyft has hired longtime eBay executive Senthil Padmanabhan as its chief technology officer, the company announced.
Padmanabhan has been with eBay for more than 15 years, most recently as VP of engineering. At the company, he helped scale its core engineering platform and led a companywide AI transformation that allowed engineers to develop and deploy projects more quickly and frequently, according to Lyft.
At Lyft, Padmanabhan will lead the company's engineering foundations to support its goal of developing innovations and experiences for both riders and drivers. "My job is to make sure the Lyft ceiling keeps rising, using technology to multiply what we can achieve and unlock what wasn't possible before," he said in a statement.
Padmanabhan will join Lyft on July 26 and will report to CEO David Risher.
