October ARC Figures Mark Growing Recovery
Auguring an accelerating recovery, ARC yesterday said October 2003 agency sales grew by 3 percent year over year, the first such increase of more than 1 percent since November of last year. The October growth follows even to 1 percent growth in each of the previous three months. Agency productivity as measured by sales per location reached a record high and rose 19 percent over October 2002.
"This growth in ARC-processed sales, which builds on the stability of recent months, is an encouraging sign as we move into the close of the year and look forward to 2004," said president and CEO David Collins in a press statement.
