The National Business Travel Association hotel committee today announced it would add for the first time meetings and corporate housing modules to its standard electronic request for proposal format for the 2006 and 2007 bid seasons, respectively.
"There is tremendous demand among buyers for an expanded tool. In both cases, we'll be enlisting the input of industry experts in these areas to ensure the modules are as relevant to travel buyers' hotel programs as possible," said Elizabeth Caligiuri, outgoing chairman of the committee, who is travel sourcing specialist for Coca-Cola.
The committee, which has made significant changes in the RFP modules affecting transient travel for 2005
(BTN, Feb. 9), does not expect to make more than cosmetic changes in the widely used tool for 2006. The committee announced its plans at the NBTA annual meeting in Orlando.
