ACTE Conference To Feature Security Experts, Payment Systems White Paper
Baruch Weiss, former acting deputy general counsel and associate general counsel of Homeland Security, is a late addition to the Association of Corporate Travel Executives' global education conference in Atlanta next week. Weiss will present "Screening for Terrorists, Aliens, Criminals and Viruses," following remarks by Steven Brill, CEO of Verified Identity Pass, on "The Intersection of Privacy and Security" on May 9, the last day of the conference.
Attendees also will be the first to see a new white paper, entitled "Sourcing Payment Solutions: Best Practices," based on input from a survey of buyer members and third-party analysts. Among other educational offerings, the 2006 conference will feature a moot court session that will examine "Year 2015: Where is the Corporate Travel Manager?" Led by Tom Lacny, senior vice president of global sales at HRG North America, and Tom Wilkinson, president of Pennington, N.J.-based TRW Travel Consulting, both trained attorneys, the exercise presents arguments related to the future sustainability and value of the travel manager.
