Hyatt Hotels Corp. and Air Canada have formed a loyalty program partnership that allows World of Hyatt and Aeroplan members to earn, convert and redeem rewards across travel experiences, the companies announced Wednesday.
Aeroplan members can now redeem Aeroplan points for World of Hyatt free night awards at eligible hotels starting at 25,000 points. World of Hyatt members can redeem World of Hyatt points for a 30,000-point Aeroplan flight reward certificate, which can be used toward flight rewards with Air Canada and its airline partners.
Members who link their accounts can convert World of Hyatt points to Aeroplan points at a two-to-one ratio, and eligible Aeroplan elite members can convert Aeroplan points to World of Hyatt points, also at a two-to-one ratio.
The partnership provides additional fast-track benefits for elite members, including new paths for Aeroplan elite status members and eligible premium cardholders to earn World of Hyatt status, and complimentary status and bonus night credits for cardholders who link accounts.
The collaboration expands member benefits across a combined network of more than 1,300 destinations and 1,500 hotels. Both World of Hyatt and Air Canada revamped their loyalty programs earlier this year.
