London-based conference venue provider Etc.venues has opened its first location outside of the U.K., in New York City. The company first announced it was entering the New York market last May.
The new space at 360 Madison Ave., which debuted in late February, is on the fourth and fifth floors with a connection via an open staircase. Clients can book space in either or both floors.
There are 10 rooms in total, all with natural light, and each floor has a large room for up to about 300 attendees. Both of those rooms include six built-in screens to allow attendees better views of events. Pricing is based on a daily delegate rate, which includes the space, food and beverage, audio/visual, Wi-Fi and support staff.
Etc.venue plans a second New York City location at 601 Lexington Ave., currently scheduled to open during the second quarter of 2021. Before further U.S. expansion, the company wants to focus on the New York market, where it plans to open 10 to 12 venues, said Etc.venues VP of business development for the U.S. Fiona Macpherson. A third New York location, in the Financial District, will be announced in the coming months, she said.
