Hospitality technology provider Aven Hospitality has integrated Hopper Technology Solutions' Cancel for Any Reason payment solution into its booking engine, the companies announced.
With the integration, hoteliers using Aven's Booking Engine can provide CFAR as an option after room selection, with which guests can cancel their stay before checkout and receive up to 100 percent of room costs paid as a refund. HTS cancels the reservation in the hotel's property management system, refunding the payment to the guest and freeing up the inventory back to the hotel to be resold.
HTS launched the cancellation offering for hotels earlier this year, with Aven Hospitality—recently rebranded from Sabre Hospitality Solutions, which Sabre divested last year—was announced as an early partner. HTS has a similar offering for airlines, with Frontier Airlines, WestJet, Air Canada and Virgin Australia among those offering it as an ancillary.
