IHG Hotels & Resorts has named longtime company executive Leanne Harwood its new SVP of global sales, effective immediately, the company announced Tuesday.
Leanne Harwood
Harwood has nearly 30 years of hospitality industry experience and more than two decades with IHG, according to the company. She most recently served as SVP and managing director of its luxury and lifestyle division in the Americas, a position to which she was appointed in early 2024.
In her new role, Harwood will lead the IHG sales organization, "driving customer engagement and growth across corporate, group and meetings and events segments worldwide," the company said in a statement.
"Leanne's deep commercial expertise and track record of building high-performing teams makes her the ideal person to lead our global sales organization," IHG Americas CEO Jolyon Bulley said in a statement. "Her global experience, strategic perspective and passion for hospitality will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow our customer partnerships across our business."
IHG's prior SVP of global sales, Mark Sergot, had served in the role since 2022 before being named IHG's chief development officer in the Americas in January. Harwood will retain oversight of the luxury and lifestyle division role until a successor is announced, an IHG spokesperson told BTN.
