WestJet on Oct. 31 will launch a nonstop route between Winnipeg Richardson International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, to operate on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, the carrier announced Wednesday.
The company cited entertainment business activity between the two destinations, noting that the route will “strengthen integral ties and convenience” between Winnipeg’s “expanding television and film industry” and the “hub of entertainment,” Los Angeles. WestJet also has a Delta codeshare partnership on flights to 20 major U.S. cities, reciprocal loyalty rewards and access to Delta’s LAX Sky Club lounge for eligible passengers, according to the carrier.
