Air France has announced plans to resume operations to nearly 150 destinations by the end of August, representing 80 percent of its route network, though capacity will remain low.
The airline said it will operate 20 percent of its usual capacity by the end of June, gradually increasing to 35 percent in July and 40 percent in August. Flights to Corsica from Paris-Orly are due to relaunch on June 26.
Priority will be given to Air France's domestic network, with flights to Europe—mainly Spain, Greece, Italy and Portugal—also due to gradually increase over the coming months. Schedules for flights between Strasbourg and Amsterdam will be updated at a later date, according to the carrier.
Air France agreed to review its route network in the future to shift more domestic travel to high-speed trains under the French government's conditions for providing the airline with a €7 billion aid package to help it survive the coronavirus pandemic.
All passengers and crew are required to wear face masks or coverings during their journey through the airport and on board, while daily aircraft cleaning procedures have been updated to include disinfection of all high-touch surfaces such as armrests, tray tables and screens.
