[Update, Sept. 9] Hyatt Hotels Corp. and Delta Air Lines have formed a long-term loyalty collaboration that will allow elite members of World of Hyatt and Delta SkyMiles to earn dual points on qualifying travel, the companies announced Wednesday afternoon.
Hyatt president and CEO Mark Hoplamazian said in a statement that Hyatt and Delta share "a vision for delivering thoughtful, premium experiences that put our members first and create tremendous value."

American Airlines and Hyatt Hotels Corp. will
end the enhanced loyalty relationship they launched last year, the companies announced
Wednesday.
While the two companies have offered
reciprocal points earning and status opportunities for more than seven years,
an enhanced partnership launched in January 2025 allowed members who linked
their American Airlines AAdvantage rewards account with Hyatt Hotels Corp.'s
World of Hyatt account to select awards across either program.
"After careful consideration, we
have mutually decided to not continue our enhanced relationship," the
companies stated on their press pages.
The companies said members won't see any
interruption in earning, selecting and redeeming their eligible benefits for
the remainder of each program's earning year. Members of AAdvantage and World
of Hyatt who have linked their loyalty accounts prior to midnight Central Time
on Nov. 15 can continue earning World of Hyatt awards through Loyalty Point
Rewards through Feb. 28, 2027, and can earn AAdvantage awards through Milestone
Rewards through Dec. 31, 2026.
After the enhanced relationship ends,
AAdvantage members still will be able to opt to earn 500 AAdvantage miles in
lieu of World of Hyatt points on eligible Hyatt stays by providing their
AAdvantage number at check-in.
