Air Canada has resumed nonstop service to India after the Canadian government loosened restrictions on flights from the country, the carrier announced.
Flights from Delhi to both Toronto and Vancouver resumed on Monday. Air Canada plans to resume service between Toronto and Mumbai as well as launch new nonstop service between Montreal and Delhi "as market conditions allow."
The Canadian government lifted restrictions on direct flights from India as of Monday. Travelers from India are required to get a Covid-19 test from the Genestrings Laboratory in Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport within 18 hours of their departure.
