Expense management solution provider Extensity has launched a new version of its reporting tool designed to transfer hotel folio data directly from corporate cards.
Extensity's Expense Management 6.6 was unveiled in mid-July at the National Business Travel Association's international convention in Chicago and was developed with numerous customer-requested enhancements in mind, according to Extensity. The key feature is the ability to access broader data from leading corporate card providers for use in populating expense reports.
This data includes level-three hotel folio data, available from some suppliers, which separately lists various spend categories on a hotel bill, such as taxes and mini-bar purchases, said A.G. Lambert, Extensity's senior director of product management. Extensity claimed it is among the first commercially available expense systems to automatically itemize hotel folio details, although other expense providers already have such tools on the market.
Other enhancements with the new version include more choices for client interfaces, better e-mail capabilities and improved access to data when logging on to the system, according to Extensity. The supplier recently has renewed focus on marketing the application in addition to the work on the enhancements
(BTN, April 3).Extensity only recently has reemerged as a brand after years of being a part of Canadian software provider Geac Computer Corp. Golden Gate Capital acquired Geac last year and announced in March that Extensity would be reformed to focus on financial performance management. This separated Extensity from other components of Geac, such as the manufacturing and supply chain components.
