Microsoft
expanded its travel technology infrastructure in 2024, deploying its Cytric online booking tool to 22 countries
while achieving 86 percent online adoption for U.S. bookings. Microsoft
also piloted Cytric Easy CoPilot, integrating AI-driven
booking capabilities into its program.
The
technology giant completed a travel
management company contract renewal and launched an accessibility
travel desk
to support employees with visible or invisible disabilities requiring additional
travel assistance.
Microsoft
has a single global travel policy and a single U.S. travel policy. The company
expanded its sustainable aviation fuel commitments, extending its 2023
partnership with International Airlines Group through a five-year agreement to
co-fund an additional 39,000 metric
tons of SAF. This extension created
what the companies describe as the largest and longest Scope 3 SAF agreement to
date, helping reduce Microsoft's indirect carbon emissions by approximately
113,000 metric tons.
Microsoft
