Gant Travel Management has added an AI assistant to its
recently launched self-service platform, the travel management company
announced.
The self-service platform, now called Gant360, launched
last month as a single point for travelers to access trip information,
profiles, invoices, disruption information and trip support. With the new
Gant360 AI Assistant, travelers can engage in a conversational style for such
self-service tasks as searching and booking travel and managing reservations,
with the assistant applying company policy and the traveler's profile.
In testing, the assistant was able to handle a flight
booking from search to completion in less than five minutes, according to Gant.
"Gant360 is designed to bring the entire travel
experience together around the traveler and still give companies the control
they need," Gant Travel president and CEO Patrick Linnihan said in a
statement. "The AI Assistant takes that a step further by allowing
travelers to simply ask for what they need and take action, with our Gant
agents always within reach."
The Gant360 platform has access to content from more than 90
airlines and negotiated hotel rates in about 110 countries via Gant's
membership in American Express Global Business Travel's GBT network, which it
joined earlier this year.
