IBM continued to modernize its travel program in 2024,
expanding corporate card capabilities by rolling out Citibank Mobile Wallet in
EMEA and Canada. As part of its 2025 roadmap, the company is preparing to
launch a Global Performance Scorecard focused on delinquency management and
will issue a global auto rental RFP to further streamline ground transportation
sourcing.
To
enhance traveler support, IBM continued enabling its AskHR bot, which assists
employees with travel and HR-related queries. The company also implemented a
data-driven performance management initiative, replacing static spreadsheets
with self-service dashboards that offer greater transparency into spend and more
detailed analytics. IBM is looking to agentic AI solutions
to simplify the end-to-end travel process from travel approvals to
expense management.
Sustainability
remained a priority, and
IBM has continued
its participation in airline reshopping and NDC pilot programs.
IBM
reported $62.8 billion
in 2024 revenue, up 1 percent from the prior year. Its generative AI book of
business has surpassed $5 billion in bookings
since inception, with growing
investments in enterprise automation. As of year-end, IBM employed 270,300
people globally—an 11,900-person decrease from
2023—as the company sharpened focus on higher-growth segments including cloud
and AI.
