Last month's acquisition of BSI, which is one
of the three largest hotel booking and meetings management agencies in the
United Kingdom, will more than double U.K.-based business process outsourcing
and support services business Capita Group's annual total business travel transaction
value in to above £300 million, officials said.
Capita will retain the BSI brand separately from
its Capita Business Travel travel management company in the wake of the £42.5
million Dec. 23 deal. Present BSI managing director Trevor Elswood will serve
as managing director of both. “The purpose of the acquisition was to ensure
Capita could offer a far more rounded accommodation and meetings product,”
Elswood told BTN.
Capita Group is among the top 100 publicly
quoted companies in the United Kingdom. It also owns the rail booking tool
Evolvi.
