BA Lands Union Agreement, Averting Strike
British Airways cabin crew have called off a labor action that included a two-day stoppage for Tuesday and Wednesday. The strike was settled today after the airline and the Transport & General Workers Union reached agreement on staff sickness and pay. The carrier plans to fly a full schedule of reinstated flights on those two days.
"Unfortunately, the decision has come too late to prevent disruption to the travel plans of tens of thousands of our customers tomorrow and Wednesday," said BA chief executive Willie Walsh.
British Airways said that travelers wishing to travel on reinstated flights on those two days should contact the carrier or their travel ageent. The carrier added that some reinstated flights may not offer full catering service.
