United Airlines has removed Boeing Max aircraft from its flight schedule until June 4, the carrier announced on Friday. The date is nearly two months beyond the recent announcements by Southwest Airlines and American Airlines, but a United spokesperson says a pushback beyond the previous one-month increments was necessary as "it allows us to have more certainty by providing our customers and our operation a firmer and more definitive timeline." The new schedule will result in about 2,400 canceled flights in April, 3,300 canceled flights in May and 320 canceled flights in June, according to United.
