United Airlines chief commercial officer Julia
Haywood, whom the carrier hired this summer, is leaving the company, according
to United president Scott Kirby. Haywood joined
United to take over the duties of retiring chief revenue officer Jim
Compton, before the carrier hired
Kirby in August. "As the leader of Boston Consulting Group's global
airline transformation practice prior to joining United, Julia knew our
business well and did an exceptional job getting the commercial team positioned
for success," Kirby said. "With United's strategy now firmly in
place, Julia had decided to return to BCG."
