Frontier Airlines CEO Barry Biffle will depart the company at the end of the month, the carrier announced Monday. The carrier did not specify a reason for his departure.
Frontier has appointed president James Dempsey as its interim CEO, effective immediately.
Biffle will remain with the airline as an advisor until Dec. 31.
Dempsey joined Frontier in 2014 as CFO, and has been president since October 2023, according to the carrier. Dempsey previously worked at Ryanair and PwC.
Biffle joined Frontier as president in July 2014, and was promoted to CEO in March 2016.
