American Airlines plans to install Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi on more than 500 narrowbody aircraft, including new Airbus A321XLR and A321neo deliveries, the carrier announced Tuesday. Installations are to begin the first quarter of 2027.
American is the latest domestic airline to select Starlink for its high-speed Wi-Fi service. United Airlines announced a Starlink deal in September 2024, and Southwest Airlines followed in January 2025. Delta Air Lines in March announced it had selected Amazon Leo for its satellite Wi-Fi service.
