Delta Air Lines has partnered to bring Amazon's Leo satellite Wi-Fi service to "hundreds of Delta aircraft," the carrier announced Tuesday.
The service initially will be installed on 500 aircraft beginning in 2028, and Delta will work with Amazon to expand its Delta Sync Wi-Fi and seatback experiences for "more personalized connections on board," according to the airline.
The new service will allow customers to stream content and "securely send presentations or business files" without waiting until they land.
Amazon Leo will join Delta's other Wi-Fi partners, Viastat and Hughes Network Systems, to bring high-speed Wi-Fi from gate to gate, according to the carrier, which added that "by working with multiple connectivity leaders, Delta is ensuring it equips the right aircraft with the right technology to serve customers across the globe."
