Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have launched a new self-managed business travel loyalty program for small and midsize companies, parent company Alaska Air Group announced Wednesday. The new offering replaces the former EasyBiz program for Alaska and the Hawaiian Airlines Corporate Travel program.
Taking its name from the group's new Atmos Rewards loyalty program, launched in August, Atmos for Business is targeted to companies and organizations with at least $5,000 in annual travel spend, according to Alaska.
The program includes a platform through which users can book business travel, according to the company. Member organizations will earn one point for each dollar spent by their registered employees' business travel booked through that platform. Companies are ineligible to receive points on bookings through other channels.
The accrued points can be used by the company for future travel on Alaska, Hawaiian or their global partners, according to Alaska.
Individual travelers must be Atmos Rewards members and need to be invited to Atmos for Business by a company's dedicated travel administrator.
Travel managers can invite travelers through a bulk upload, shareable link or email, and will have access to reporting that includes tracking travel and spend. Accounts can house multiple payment options and dedicate them to individuals or groups. Travelers also can be grouped into teams, allowing for travel to be booked by department or office location.
In the program, any unused funds from canceled tickets can be added to a corporate wallet and applied to future travel, according to Alaska. There also is a dedicated support team for Atmos for Business. For intra-Hawaii travel, travelers will receive two free checked bags and free standby travel to access an earlier flight on the same route.
Customers traveling for business can connect their personal Atmos Rewards loyalty number and earn points as they fly. These travelers also will receive a 10 percent bonus of status points on top of their base earn on any ticket booked through Atmos for Business, according to Alaska.
In addition, there is a new Atmos Rewards Visa Business card that includes a free checked bag, preferred boarding and three Atmos Rewards points earned on every dollar spent on eligible Alaska and Hawaiian purchases.
Travelers can use the "switch to business account" button in the Atmos Rewards dropdown menu to book business travel. Companies that had both EasyBiz and Hawaiian Airlines Corporate Travel accounts should contact the Atmos for Business support team.
