Alaska Airlines has ordered 110 new Boeing aircraft, the largest order in the airline's history, the carrier announced Wednesday. The deal includes 105 Boeing 737-10 aircraft and five 787 aircraft, with the option for an additional 35 737-10s. Deliveries currently are scheduled through 2035.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The five additional Boeing 787 widebody planes, which Alaska intends to be 787-10 aircraft, "will enable the airline to fly to at least 12 long-haul international destinations from Seattle by 2030," according to the carrier.
Alaska Air Group, which includes Hawaiian Airlines, began to fly between Seattle and each Tokyo Narita and Seoul Incheon in 2025, operated by Hawaiian. Alaska is set to launch daily, year-round flights between Seattle and London Heathrow on May 21, with daily seasonal flights to Rome to launch April 28 and to Reykjavik on May 28.
