Alaska Airlines in May 2026 will add nonstop service between Seattle and Rome, the carrier announced Tuesday. Flights will operate four times weekly with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Rome marks the third new international route for Seattle since Alaska announced in December it would make the city a global gateway. The first was Tokyo Narita service, operated by Alaska sister carrier Hawaiian Airlines, which launched May 12, and the second was Seoul Incheon service, which is scheduled to begin Sept. 12, also to be operated by Hawaiian.
Alaska Airlines parent Alaska Air Group acquired Hawaiian last year.
