Alaska Airlines is expanding codesharing with British
Airways to cover additional 16 markets in Alaska's network from its Seattle,
San Francisco and Los Angeles hubs. The two carriers already have been partners
for several years and this year became alliance-mates when Alaska joined
the Oneworld alliance. Alaska also launched a new codeshare agreement with
British Airways sister carrier Iberia in recent weeks and has
launched a partnership with Qatar Airways as well. Since joining Oneworld,
Alaska has added a total of 188 new codeshare routes with its various partners,
an increase of 39 percent compared with previously available codeshare routes.
