Air Canada is boosting capacity on several regional routes this summer by upgauging to larger aircraft. In Eastern Canada, Air Canada will replace Air Canada Express regional aircraft to Air Canada Rouge aircraft, which will add two-cabin seating and Wi-Fi. Routes include Montreal to St. John's, Calgary to Halifax and Toronto to each Fredericton, Moncton and Thunder Bay. In Western Canada, Air Canada is deploying Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft to boost capacity on its flights from Calgary to both Kelowna and Saskatoon, as well as flights from Vancouver to each Nanaimo, Comox, Sandspit, Prince Rupert, Smithers, Kamloops and Penticton. Additionally, the carrier is upgauging some flights on its Calgary-Winnnipeg service with larger Airbus aircraft and is adding a daily flight on its Vancouver-Anchorage route.
