SAP Concur has added two new enhancements to its TripIt mobile travel management app, rolling out a digital document management tool and adding a personalized risk-level function to its Neighborhood Safety Scores feature.
Users of TripIt now can upload digital boarding passes, rail tickets and other travel-related documents directly into the app for storage and reference. The most-requested functionality among TripIt users, according to Concur, the new "Documents" feature enables users to load PDF, GIF, JPEG and PNG files into TripIt with one tap. Once stored, the files can be accessed by tapping on a preview thumbnail of the image. Users of TripIt's standard version are allotted three documents per trip, while TripIt Pro users can store up to 25 documents per trip.
Meanwhile, TripIt now enables users to set personal risk tolerance levels within the app's Neighborhood Safety Scores tool, which is powered by data from GeoSure. There are five available personal risk levels available to choose from. Plans that exceed the set level—for instance, booking a hotel or dinner reservation in an area with a higher risk score than the threshold—are flagged to enable the user to make alternative plans or take additional steps to mitigate risk, according to Concur.
