Senior executives from
Airbnb, Amadeus Asia Pacific, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Egencia, Google and Uber
for Business-APAC are scheduled to speak at the Phocuswright India Conference to
be held Feb. 28 through March 2 at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel &
Residences in Gurgaon, India.
In its second year, the
event will dig deeper into the complexities of the regional Indian market but also will explore Asia/Pacific’s lead in the global travel market as travel
companies in the region stake their claim on the global stage. The conference
will address the dynamic fundraising environment, acquisitions and
consolidation in the region, as well as the behaviors of a growing travel
population that is leapfrogging others in its digital adoption.
“The Phocuswright India
conference has elevated its program in its second year,” said president Simon
Lehmann, who joined the executive team three months ago. “Not only are we
highlighting topics that are relevant to the Indian travel market, but we also
have speakers sharing their learnings and insights from other parts of the
world.”
The three-day conference
will include sessions focused on business travel, travel content distribution
specifically in the Asia/Pacific market, online travel agencies and the sharing
economy, among other topics. The Battleground session will present travel
technology startups in the market competing to be named Asia Pacific Travel
Innovator of the Year. Registration
is now open.
