Amadeus has signed a memo of understanding with technology company Nvidia to collaborate on improving efficiency and scale of AI-powered flight search, the companies announced on Wednesday.
The two companies already have been working together to conduct technical assessments and benchmarking on Nvidia's Hopper and Blackwell AI computing architecture to explore support for large-scale travel shopping workloads, they said. The new agreement will continue that work to ensure flight searches remain accurate and bookable as AI shopping evolves.
"AI is unlocking new possibilities across travel, from more intelligent search to emerging uses of AI assistants, and creating new demands on computing infrastructure," David Hogan, Nvidia VP of enterprise for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said in a statement. "Our collaboration with Amadeus combines Nvidia accelerated computing and AI with deep travel expertise to explore faster, more efficient flight search at global scale."
In particular, the two companies will work to boost scalability and response time of flight search performance with Graphics Processing Unit and Central Processing Unit technologies and develop models that are specific to addressing challenges related to travel. They also will be exploring cloud and infrastructure efficiencies to meet growing demand of AI-powered travel, the companies said.
