CWT has added flight-booking capabilities to its myCWT web-based travel management platform, the travel management company announced Thursday. The service is designed to offer a booking experience similar to that offered by online travel agencies, but with the benefit of ensuring bookings are made in policy, according to CWT.
Flight booking through myCWT was piloted over four months with 11 CWT clients. During the testing phase, the air booking capability also resulted in an uptick in compliant hotel booking activity—a positive side-effect the TMC attributed to the ability for travelers to book their entire trip on one platform.
The myCWT air booking function currently is available in 25 counties and will be rolled out in phases to CWT clients throughout 2020.
In February, CWT added a text-based messaging service myCWT that allowed clients' employees to reach a CWT agent 24/7 from their desktop, mobile device or other third-party client approved messaging app, such as Facebook Messenger.
