Amadeus is partnering with Australia-based Off
Airport Check-In Solutions to develop off-airport baggage check-in services. OACIS
will use Amadeus technology to access passenger processing systems so
passengers can drop off their bags at "convenient locations" prior to
leaving for the airport. Virgin Australia is already piloting the service at
Sydney's cruise terminal. OACIS plans to expand into New Zealand and other
markets within 18 months.
