TQ3 Travel Solutions today announced the departure of global COO Toby Joseph, citing Joseph's decision to take some time off before pursuing "other business interests." TQ3 said in a statement that Joseph's departure is just one of the inevitable changes that will occur due to the dissolution of the joint venture that previously governed the company.
BCD Holdings in January purchased the interest held in TQ3 by German-based TUI, leaving former joint venture partner Navigant International with the TQ3 name, but without an international partner
(BTN, Jan. 23). TQ3 Travel Solutions continues to use the name, but BCD will not do so upon the finalization of the acquisition.
TQ3's CEO and president Marc Hildebrand said without Joseph, a member of the team that started TQ3 five years ago, TQ3 would not have achieved what it has. "I feel that my work within TQ3 is complete and it is time to open a new chapter in my life," Joseph said in a statement. "I would also like to wish my colleagues a successful future in the new company."
