the carrier announced on Thursday. New destinations beginning Aug. 9, already for sale, include Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, Omaha, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham and Salt Lake City. Additionally, Southwest in August will add more nonstop flights to Atlanta; Austin; Baltimore; Charleston, S.C. (
to which Southwest begins service from Love Field in April); Houston Hobby; Little Rock; Chicago Midway; and Seattle. Southwest has been expanding service out of Love Field since the
expiration of the Wright Amendment and gained the rights to two gates at the airport from United Airlines earlier this month. As of Aug. 9, Southwest will have 180 weekday departures to 50 destinations from Love Field.
