Sheraton Makes Room For Layovers

Sheraton Makes Room For Layovers
Attempting to lure travelers from airport lounges, ITT Sheraton's five European airport hotels recently began offering three- to seven-hour stopovers between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Featured in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg and Paris, the "Daybreaks" service, priced at half-off rack rates or less, includes airport transfer, reconfirmation of flights, in-room coffee and tea makers, a transit survival kit (toothbrush, t-shirt, face cream, razor, deodorant, mouthwash, slippers, comb and brush) plus access to pools and fitness centers, meeting rooms and business centers. Laundry comes back within four hours, and the jet-lagged can indulge in "body-clock cuisine." The Sheraton Amsterdam, slated for a 1997 opening, also will feature Daybreaks.
