Radius CEO Hughes Resigns
Radius today announced that president and CEO Tony Hughes has left the company and will be temporarily replaced by executive vice president Allan Slan until a permanent successor is hired.
Radius has enlisted a search firm to find Hughes' successor, which could take up to six months, said Radius chairman and shareholder Bill Tech, who is also president and CEO of Omaha, Neb.-based travel management company Travel and Transport. Hughes' permanent replacement will be based out of the company's Bethesda, Md. headquarters.
According to Tech, Hughes informed the Radius board of directors that he was resigning his post at a board of directors meeting prior to the company's global shareholder meeting in Buenos Aires earlier this month.
Radius officials and shareholders told BTN that it was Hughes' decision to leave the company. Hughes served as Radius' CEO since March 2002.
