BCD Holdings today announced plans to base in Amsterdam the headquarters for the new entity that will be formed from integrating the travel management companies it now owns, including those formerly under the BTI and TQ3 flags, WorldTravel and The Travel Company.
The company—set to announce its new name tomorrow—will operate with Mike Buckman as CEO, Stephan Baars as CFO and Tom Barham as treasury. Regional heads include John Snyder for North and South America; Ilona De March for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India; and Mike Walley for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Ralph Manaker, currently WorldTravel BTI president, will handle mergers and acquisitions and Dee Runyan, currently executive vice president of WorldTravel BTI, will head product and technology development, global supplier relations and Asia/Pacific operations.
Melanie Garrett and Mary Ellen George will continue their roles on a global basis in marketing and sales and consulting, respectively. Following in the footsteps of TQ3 Travel Solutions COO Toby Joseph
(BTNonline, Feb. 23), Marc Hildebrand, currently CEO of TQ3, has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests. BCD's new executive makeup will become fully operational after the transaction with TUI AG, for its holdings in the former TQ3, expected to close by the end of March.
