Jersey Merger: VTS Buys Stratton

Mahwah, N.J.-based VTS Travel Enterprises this month announced it acquired Stratton Travel Management of Oakland, N.J., adding 35 onsite offices with manufacturing and services organizations.

VTS, which claimed $467 million in gross travel sales, said Stratton's equivalent number is about $100 million, with $48 million in ARC volume. VTS will keep Stratton's senior management, organization and name intact.

"We're excited about the synergies offered by the combination of two companies with high expectations in terms of customer service," said VTS president Patrick Fragale. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
