Amex One Launches RezExpress
American Express One today launched RezExpress, a new low-cost call center platform for small and middle market corporate travel programs. RezExpress' remote telephone fulfillment service complements Amex One's Local Office and RezPort offerings, which provide local call support and online fulfillment for clients with under $2 million in annual air spend.
Rion Needs, American Express One general manager, said RezExpress has been in soft launch since last October and more than 60 clients already are using the platform. RezExpress has a relatively low price of $15 per transaction. "RezExpress offers call center service but at a very low price," he said. "It works well with our high-touch Local Office service and our online RezPort booking service."
Needs said most American Express One clients implement a combination of the three services.
RezExpress' launch meets the small and middle markets' growing appetite for managed travel. "Small and midmarket business markets are growing," Needs said. "Over 50 percent of our new sales are middle market or small market clients who could use RezExpress. The pressure of the tight economy and the elimination of commission is changing the way smaller companies manage travel. There is a big push out there to manage areas of travel that have until now gone unmanaged at small or midsize companies."
