AA, CO First To Match Delta's Commission Cut

American and Continental airlines this afternoon followed Delta Air Lines in eliminating base commissions on all tickets issued by travel agencies in the United States--including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands--and Canada. The policy change, effective today, applies to all international and domestic tickets.

Delta's initial move last Thursday is expected to be matched by all major carriers--with the possible exception of maverick Southwest Airlines--in the next few weeks.
