FCM Meetings & Events is consolidating its businesses around the world as it plans expansion in the sector, the company announced Thursday.
FCM M&E, a division of Flight Centre Travel Group, is bringing offices in Australia, New Zealand, India and North America under a single banner, including those that were still operating on the former CiEvents brand. Simone Seiler, who has been a general manager in the division for several years and has a long history in the business events sector, has been named global general manager, overseeing the full business and its expansion plans. That includes growth in the U.K., Europe and Asia.
"We believe the meetings, events and event travel markets are ripe for disruption worldwide," Seiler said in a statement. "With this investment, we're well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for high-quality and personalized event experiences that has seen an exponential bounce back."
FCM M&E is seeing "a steady annual growth rate" of 12 percent for in-person meetings demand and expects that to continue, she added.
