Hotel reshopping platform Tripbam now offers a certification program for managed travel consultants to use the company's technology to source and manage corporate hotel programs, the company announced.
To achieve the certification, Tripbam currently offers three 1.5-hour courses, held weekly and by webinar, with each followed by an online exam. Consultants must pass each exam to advance to the next level and will be required to attend future classes to maintain their certification, said Tripbam CEO Steve Reynolds in an email.
The courses include Tripbam Overview, which covers all of the company's services, clients and agency relationships; Tripbam Daily Rate Audit Analytics, a deep dive into the analytics behind the company's daily rate auditing and shopping tools; and Hotel Intelligence, which covers the dashboard that measures preferred hotel, brand and chain performance, sourcing opportunities and year-over-year comparisons, among other data. The company currently is certifying about 40 individual consultants, Reynolds said. Participating companies have included Areka Consulting, GoldSpring Consulting and Nina & Pinta Consulting, among others. There is no cost to take the courses and exams.
Tripbam's goal is to change the way companies source hotels by eliminating the annual hotel requests-for-proposals season and enabling companies to switch to dynamic hotel agreements that renew annually.
