Following in the footsteps of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and several hotel companies, both large and small, Radisson Hotel Group and Red Lion Hotels Corp. on Wednesday released enhanced cleanliness guidelines for their properties.
Both programs include measures recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization as well as several standards AHLA released on Monday, such as promoting physical distancing, increased frequency and enhancement of cleanings, and more contactless options for check-in, check-out and payment. Both also feature input from Diversey, a cleaning and hygiene solutions provider.
Radisson also has partnered with SGS, an inspection, verification, testing and certification company, to introduce an official label of cleanliness and disinfection that will be available to hotels upon completion of a comprehensive local audit.
In addition to guidance from AHLA and Diversey, Red Lion's program takes into consideration recommendations from the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, and commercial cleaning and sanitation companies like Ecolab and Procter & Gamble.
