Joining all the major hotel companies, Oyo Hotels has rolled out a new cleaning initiative for its more than 300 properties in the United States, the company announced. Dubbed "Scrubbed Clean," the program includes enhanced cleaning and safety protocols that are in line with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Hotel & Lodging Association's "Safe Stay" guidelines, and that were developed in conjunction with the Asian American Hotel Owners Association.
Some of the policies in the new program include cleaning four times per day in common areas; housekeeping services performed only at check-out or on demand when a guest is not in their room; required masks and gloves for all employees at all times; use of Environmental Protection Agency-approved disinfectants; and hand sanitizer available at all key entrances and exits for employees and guests. In addition, hotels will provide signs and markers to remind guests to remain six feet apart and for everyone to wear masks at all times.
