Sonal Sinha
Sonal Sinha, CEO of G6 Hospitality, the parent company of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands and a subsidiary of hospitality technology group Prism, has stepped down from his role, the company announced.
No immediate direct replacement for Sinha was named.
G6 in a statement positioned the move and other executive changes as part of a transition out of an integration phase and into a period of expansion.
G6 vice chairman and Prism COO Ankit Tandon will "increase his U.S. presence," according to the company, spending time in Dallas and other key markets to oversee strategic priorities and franchisee relationships.
The company has also promoted Nikhil Heda to country head of G6 for the U.S. having most recently served as head of development for the U.S. Additionally, Anuj Ladha will oversee an expanded role as national head of brand performance. Both will report to Tandon.
Sinha is departing the role he's held since 2024, when India-headquartered Prism acquired G6 for $525 million. During his tenure, Sinha guided G6 through "a critical period of integration and stabilization," according to G6. He will remain in an advisory capacity following a transition period.
The leadership reshuffling comes as Prism and G6 pursue a multi-segment growth strategy that includes Prism's upscale Belvilla District 6 brand, an extended-stay Studio 6 Plus offering and planned midscale and upscale boutique hotel launches.
