After adding seven hotels in 2020 to its Boundless portfolio of lifestyle hotels in the Americas, Hyatt Hotels Corp. plans to nearly double that amount in 2021, with 13 new properties planned for the region, the company announced. The new additions would represent nearly a 27 percent increase for the Americas segment, which currently has 49 hotels, according to a company spokesperson.
Hyatt plans to open an Alila property in Encinitas, Calif.; six Hyatt Centric hotels, including five in the United States (Charlotte, Denver, Memphis, New York and Sacramento) and one in San Salvador, El Salvador; and six Thompson properties, in Austin, Buckhead, Ga., Denver, Hollywood, Calif., San Antonio and Savannah.
There currently are 85 properties globally in the Boundless portfolio.
