Location and History
Sibling to the Pillar and Post and the Prince of Wales, this resort is clearly the most popular of the trio. Visitors can be forgiven for thinking that this three-story classic brick hotel, with its neoclassical pillars, has been here for a century or more. In fact, it was built in 1990 using aged bricks imported from Germany. This attention to detail set the tone for the hotel and continues more than three decades later.
