Located next to Victoria Train Station, in a neighborhood plagued with fast-food outlets and incessant traffic, this grand but stodgy Victorian hotel (formerly known as the Grosvenor Hotel) has far more inherent quality following a recent renovation. Nonetheless, it appears vacant of spirit and desultory in service when compared with the classic railway hotels, such as the Renaissance St. Pancras or the Landmark.
